As Yoda would say: "Ball on the ground, must keep"

In the video (30 Seconds), notice that the players approach the ball and return the ball with a pass. In every case, the ball comes about a foot off the ground. They are hitting below the mid-point of the ball and slightly launching it each time. This can be done better.

Strike the ball anywhere on the top half of the ball and it will hug the ground. That is a good pass for this kind of close passing. It is also ok to just strike the middle of the ball.
