Pick and Roll, Baby

Online Videos by Veoh.com

At about the 25th second of the video, the yellow-shirted offensive player gets the ball and does what no one expects: though he is much closer to the goal, he isn't open, so he passes outside to a hugely open player that a few seconds later passes it right back to the center who then passes it to him.

The goal was scored because the defense didn't respond to the motion of the players WITHOUT the ball.

In soccer, this is sometimes called "give and go" (or even more campy names), but what you see here in the first goal is much better described by the basketball offense scheme of "pick and roll". The "pick" here is just any move that frees up the offensive player AND the player with the ball.

As you can see, it is very effective.
