it isn't a team sport without passing



This video is very basic and very advanced at the same time. Don't be fooled as you play or watch soccer. Passing accuracy is very complex. Accurate pace so that the other player can easily handle the ball. Accurate placement so that the receiving player is in the best new position to do something better with the ball that what you can do with it right now. Accurate spin so that the receiving player doesn't have to take lots of extra touches to gain full control.

When a player misses a shot on goal, it is usually obvious if it was a good or bad shot. Accurate passing is frequently ignored by fans as unimportant. It isn't ignored by winning teams.

And, in bad weather, passing is even more important and individual ball skill is easier to defeat in the wind and rain.
