Politics and Soccer



In the U.S.A., people typically vote on religion or if they have met the person or who they think will give them the most money from someone else in the country or most just don't vote period. In Britain, people vote, at least in this one case, based on support for the local soccer (football) club.

It frankly makes as much sense as any of the above given American reasons.
